YMCA Relay for Strong Kids – July 5 at 7 p.m.
The 32nd annual YMCA Relay for Strong Kids will take place
on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Exhibition Place in
Toronto. This event is a great opportunity to get out there
and prove your commitment to healthy living.

A new, shorter and faster 2.9 km track

Four-member teams can run one lap each, or two-member
teams can run two laps each, for a team total distance
of 11.6 km

A Youth Run for teams of 13–15 and 16–18 year olds

A Family Walk

Dear
Friends,
Savannah Golf Links opened the golfing season
March 24th so it’s time to head over and start
practicing for our Sixth Annual Golf Tournament followed by
silent and live auctions, scheduled for Wednesday, August 15,
2012 at Savannah Golf Links in Cambridge, Ontario. We are
pleased to confirm Heffner Toyota will be providing a
Scion IQ
smart car for our hole in one contest, so make sure you
are polishing up your golf swing for your chance to win!
Thanks to the generous support of our CHS
community, sponsors and funders, we raised $21,000 in 2011.
These fund raising dollars helped to further our counseling and
education services in Peel and Waterloo Regions. This year we
have provided

Increased counseling and support to residents
for
mental health, abuse, family breakdown and
substance abuse, providing support, education and advocacy
-
home visits to seniors with hearing loss,
helping them stay safely and independently at home and
improving communication with family and friends
-
education programs to raise awareness in our
community on accessibility standards, ensuring access to
community programs and services are available to all
-
Improved access to 911 services and system
changes, ensuring these vital services are available for
Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing residents
-
found jobs for area residents with hearing
loss, establishing independence and sustainability for
individuals, contributing to a thriving community
